One of the dirtyest stock car races I have seen out there. Congrats to Hachmeister on keeping the paint in tact on the new ride, it looks nice.

That place was a DUSTBOWL!

As a dirt racer fan I will not go back there.

I would agree it was dusty, I am not sure if it is the type of dirt or what, but at times Hays does tend to have problems other dust. That being said the racing is normally very good there, I would hate to see someone not come back because a dirt track was dusty when it was 105 degrees with no humidity. The modified race was very good with multiple grooves, and Saturday night was great racing as well.
Maybe try asphalt racing?? Or at least stick to watching dirt when its cool out when there is not sprint cars. I have never been to a sprint race that I didn't get something in my eye, the wings tend to carry the dirt further.

It was neat to see the old cars out, one night like the rest of the classes may have been sufficient though.

Why is it always sprint cars that get the bad rap. at least they can run an a main in less time then the mods.

The track was in great shape for us Sport Compacts Saturday! Heat + wind = dust, especially in western Kansas, dontcha know...

Lots of fun watching the sprint cars - my first time on a dirt track was behind the wheel of the Kansas Tornado's #86 URSS sprint car at the Seminar in Jetmore a few years ago. It would be a blast to go back to see if I've learned anything!
