BST READY TO START KANSAS TOUR
BY: GEOFF BRIGGS
The Larry Shaw Blood Sweat and Tears (BST) Kansas tour kicks off this weekend with two races in Kansas. The tour will invade Dodge City Raceway Park on Saturday and Dirtona Raceway in Hugoton KS on Sunday.

The stop at Dodge City Raceway Park will provide awesome racing action as several top drivers from Colorado will be trying to steal from Kansas thunder. Will and Matt Brack and the Hansen team of John and Brandy Hansen should be in attendance. The Dodge City locals such as Tim Leiker, Mike Lunow, Shannon Maughlin, George Tyler and Casey Wagner will be trying to keep the money local. The Gemmills from Oklahoma should be in attendance as well as some cars from the Lamar area. “We should have 30 quality modifieds from several states ready to do battle in Dodge City and Hugoton,” Joe Bellm said. Thunder Cars, IMCA Stocks Cars and IMCA Northern Sport Mods will be joining the BST Series in Dodge... [Read More]

BST Promotions

Broomfield, Colorado (June 1, 2010) -- The Larry Shaw Blood Sweat and Tears (BST) Series will be busy starting Saturday June 5. The series will have 4 races in 5 night and kick off the Kansas and Nebraska series. “Four Days of racing in 5 days, at 4 different tracks in 3 states……..this is what BST is all about,” Series promoter Joe Bellm stressed.

The first night is Saturday June 5 when the BST invades Butch Speicher’s I-76 Speedway for BST Colorado Race number 4. BST Points Leader Eddie Belec and his teammates Dominic Ursetta and John Burrow Jr look to take home the trophy. Zach Hilzer will be trying to back up his second place run in Holyoke, and the Brack brothers will also be fighting for the win. BST COLORADO TOUR INVADES FORT MORGAN
By: Geoff Briggs
BST Promotions

(Broomfield, CO) The Larry Shaw Blood Sweat and Teats (BST) Colorado Tour makes a stop in Fort Morgan this Saturday night, June 5, for round 4 of the 2010 series. The tour features IMCA Modified drivers from all over Colorado merging together. “What is great about BST this year, is we got all tracks to work together, when BST is racing at another track, none of the other tracks in the area run IMCA Modifieds, so we can pull those cars,” Series Promoter Joe Bellm mentioned. The race will pay $750 to win and $100 to start the A Main Event.

The first three races have had 3 winners who were David Murray Jr out of KS, and I-76 regulars Will Brack and Dominic Ursetta. Currently, Eddie Belec Jr leads the points over W Brack, Ursetta and Brad Boyer from Monument. Ursetta, Belec, W Brack and his brother Matt, and Boyer have all... [Read More]

NCRA SPRINT CARS RETURN TO THUNDER HILL SPEEDWAY
Jun 04, 2010 - 9:06 AM - by Andrew_Towne
NCRA SPRINT CARS RETURN TO THUNDER HILL SPEEDWAY

It’s been eight long years since the Wichita-based O’Reilly Automotive National Championship Racing Association brought its Sprint Car Series to the high banks of Thunder Hill Speedway, and in that time, there have been a number of changes. “We’ve definitely missed running at Thunder Hill,” NCRA President C. Ray Hall said. “It’s a great, fast track, and the Sprint cars put on a great show there. Last time we were there, we were still running the 410 engines. Now we’re running 360s, and I think the fans will really like the fact that we get more cars and the racing is more competitive now.”

Heading the pack will be defending and 5-time series champion Garry Lee Maier, who will be driving the #1X machine. Maier has been dubbed “King of the 360s,” having won most of the important 360 Sprint Car races at one time or another. With only two O’Reilly NCRA Sprint Car races in the books, he’s currently sixth in the... [Read More]
